The following people are eligible for The Medal
This Medal was awarded to personnel who carried out 30 days continuous service in parts of the Middle East including Cyprus between 2 August 1990 and 7 March 1991. Also awarded to those who carried out 7 days between the 16 Jan and 28 Feb 1991, or carried out service with the Kuwait Liaison Team on the 2 August 1991 (Date of the Iraqi Invasion) Two clasps were awarded to personnel.
