This badge is usually worn by members of 4/73 Sphinx Battery Royal Artillery and members of the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) who have passed the Surveillance, Target and Acquisition (STA) Course.
Both units wear the Khaki Beret, worn by the HAC due to its close links with the Household Division and taken on board by 4/73 also.
